Melt Group is looking for a Business Development Manager on behalf a multinational company specializing in automation, control, and electrical panel manufacturing, with an international presence and rapid growth.
The successful candidate will join the international sales team to lead the acquisition, development, and retention of installer, contractor, and distributor clients in southern France.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the weekly sales visit schedule in the assigned area, in agreement with the International Sales Director.
- Acquire new customers and maintain long-lasting relationships with installers, contractors, distributors, and manufacturers in the following sectors: food, pharmaceuticals, commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, and refrigerated transport/logistics.
- Negotiate commercial proposals and agreements, ensuring compliance with the company's commercial policy.
- Analyze the market and identify growth opportunities in southern France, maintaining sensitivity and integration with the local commercial culture.
- Represent the company's technical solutions, including industrial refrigeration automation, electrical panel manufacturing (machining, pre-assembly, wiring, testing, and quality), engineering, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with the engineering, workshop, logistics, and purchasing departments to ensure the proper execution of projects.
- Report activities, visits, and results to the International Sales Director.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial positions within the industrial sector.
- Vocational training or technical engineering degree in electricity, electronics, automation, or industrial refrigeration.
- Proven experience in negotiation, closing technical sales, and planning sales visits.
- Knowledge of the French market and commercial culture.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical panels and technical automation solutions.
- French essential at a negotiation level; other languages will be valued.
- Ability to integrate into multicultural environments, highly results-oriented, proactive and autonomous.
- Availability to travel 60% of the time.
- Ability to adapt to an initial training period at the head office.
