Melt Group is looking for a Chief Commercial Officer / Sales Director for a leading packaging company. We are looking for a profile with a technical background, able to provide solutions to customers and the group’s sales force. The position would be based in their Milano’s office. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Devise and implement commercial strategies in line with the company’s objectives in order to accelerate growth.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development, etc.)
  • Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are met.
  • Acquire new customers and manage customer relationships (both new and existing).
  • Coordinate and collaborate with various teams (marketing, sales, customer service, etc.).
  • Create and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor the performance of business activities using key metrics and preparing reports for senior management.
  • Stablish sales targets and supervise their achievement as well as sales administration.
  • Participate in high-level commercial negotiations in close collaboration with the Sales Director and Key Account Managers,
  • Live follow-up of the company’s main and historical customers.
  • Management of all commercial budgets.

Requirements:

  • +5 years’ experience in sales management, reaching or exceeding targets in the packaging sector.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence at all levels of an organisation, including senior management and executive level
  • Demonstrated ability to guide the sales process from beggining to end
  • Demonstrated ability to present the different aspects of packaging products and services
  • Demonstrated ability to position products against those of competitors
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
